What was the highlight of Mandala Beach Hotel
Beautiful surroundings and great breakfast but needs a little attention to customer service.
The property was located with beautiful surroundings. A short walk from the beach and marina, with wonderful views from the room and restaurant. The room we stayed in went directly to the poolside. It was very quiet and peaceful around. Breakfast was very good quality, with a vibrant selection of food, and you were able to place orders for hot food. We were glad to be away from Ubatuba, as we wanted to relax in beautiful surroundings, this definitely ticked those boxes! :)
The bathroom was very basic, with not very nice showers. The room was comfortable but a little small. We had to ask for extra towels a couple of times. Some of the staff were lovely. However when we had an issue with a food order (the food was served raw) we sent it back and the staff were not very helpful or apologetic. One thing to note is the coffee machines kept breaking during the breakfast service, the staff had to keep restarting the machines. If you want to be close to Ubatuba, it’s worth noting it’s a 25 minute bus ride away.
